As regular visitors to this blog know, I consider San Jose’s King Library to be a reader’s paradise. So, I’m very excited to announce that I will participate in the library’s Third Annual Author and Book Fair, taking place on Sunday, November 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. The event will include panel discussions, book sales, plenty of opportunities to explore the King’s beautiful facilities, and (I’m told) tea and cookies! I’ll be part of the “On The Road” panel with travel authors Susannah Greenwood, Bennett Jacobstein, and Wendy and Rick Walleigh, which is tentatively scheduled for 2:50 p.m. in room 225. I hope that I’ll be able to catch some of the other panels, such as the fiction discussion (featuring Santa Cruz author and Coastal Book Gal ally Tim McGarvey!) and the history roundtable (including Palo Alto-based author/publisher Jean Libby, who’s been a very kind and helpful recent acquaintance). I will update this post with any relevant information that I receive. In the meantime, the event page is available here. The library is located at 150 East San Fernando Street in downtown San Jose. Please say hello if you stop by!
